When you first make contact with me, I will confirm if I am available for the date of your wedding, place a temporary block on that date and arrange to visit you. During this visit I will present you with my sample albums which each contain a single full wedding. This will allow you to gain a good idea of what I can provide you with rather than showing a sample of only my top images. I will then hold your date for a period of two weeks in order to allow you to make an un-rushed decision and send a non-refundable deposit of £250 to secure your booking. At a suitable point between confirming your booking and your wedding, I will arrange a portrait session with you. It is popular with many couples to use an image from this session on their wedding invitations. Approximately six weeks before your wedding, I will contact you to ensure everything is on track and remind you that the balance of your payment is due four weeks in advance. Wherever possible, I would like to attend your wedding rehearsal in order to gain an idea of your arrangements and speak with others involved.
On the day of your wedding I will usually begin at the location the bride is getting ready, in order to capture some relaxed atmospheric photographs. Once finished, I will move to the wedding venue where photographs will be taken before, during (with permission) and after the ceremony. I will happily attend your celebrations afterward and ensure the excitement and joy of the event is captured to give you a photographic record of the entire day.
Within a few days of your wedding, I will make a web based gallery available to you and your guests, from which prints of the event may be purchased. Shortly after this I will deliver a proofset from which photographs can be selected, with my assistance if requested, for your albums. Once I have your final order and payment, I will typically deliver your albums in person a few weeks later.
Unlike many wedding photographers who will offer you three prices with a specific album and number of prints associated with each, I believe in charging for the time I will spend over the entire process and allowing you to purchase the album or albums you want separately. This allows a lot of flexibility and ensures you do not need to decide how many pages and photographs you would like several months before you have been married, but only once you have viewed the photographs!
My fee for shooting a wedding in 2009 and 2010 is £950. This covers everything I do up to the point I deliver the proofset to you. I can provide a wide range of albums at many price points and sizes. For this reason I will quote based on any albums you are interested in rather than provide a standard price list as I can match budgets from a little over £100 to several hundred.
Should you choose to create your own album and prints, a DVD-R containing high resolution image files may be purchased for £250, giving you the right to use the images in anyway you choose as often as you choose for no additional fee.
